Clement cross frame No. 2 , c. 1888

When we look at old catalogues, it seems likely that this marvellous Clement with serial number 7896 has been built in 1888.
It is one of the earliest models of the Clement cross frame, with a different system of bracket adjustment fixation than the later models I have seen. Also look at the front hub and compare it to Clement no. 20814. On this older bicycle the middle part is iron, the later model has a completely brass hub.

This bicycle has been restored to a very high level. Some parts are replica, like mudguards and even handlebars, but you can't see it and dimensions are 100 % correct. Thanks Maarten Waarlé for the pictures of your wonderful Clément.
